Four of many many many!

Hitting the waterfalls around Lombok is a 'must do' in all the guides. So not sure why it took us so long to venture into the jungle in search of some falling water! Bonita, our daughter, was the inspiration for the trip, it's always good to get a push to explore somewhere you live lol. An hour and a half drive from our place, due North. An hour into the drive things started to get real pretty and you could tell the differences in the lifestyle from the coastal towns and the mountain villages. It's a great shame to say it but the mountain folks seemed to care lots more about their immediate environment, their houses, streets and the general countryside was so noticeably cleaner and tidier than the rubbish strewn villages near the sea :( The countryside of the foothills of Rinjani is stunning, the small and very well maintained roads meander through villages and rice terraces, yup as stunning as Bali for sure.
Then you arrive at the Rinjani National Park gates, park up and start a 45 minute hike around jungle trails, which is awesome in itself, and visit four stunning waterfalls. Check out my captures, all together a great little day out and I didn't even mention the flora, fauna and wildlife ……
